Pharmacological Effect


Paclitaxel is a monomeric diterpenoid extracted from the bark of the natural plant Taxus medicine. Isotope tracing showed that paclitaxel only bound to polymerized microtubules and did not react with unpolymerized tubulin dimers. After the cells are exposed to paclitaxel, a large number of microtubules will be accumulated in the cells.
